Main goal of the event
The main goal of Spirit Drum Fest is to celebrate and promote social creative activity...
To inspire, engage and entertain a target audience of festival goers, creative minds and community orientated people across the generations by setting the stage for a diverse range of music and arts of the highest quality.
Raising awareness of cultural art forms and building community pride and social cohesion through an increase of community participation. Educating audiences and offering a wide range of experiences to inspire them whilst contributing to the local economy by supporting local and Grassroots artists and promoting community causes, such as the food and drink industry.
This vision is not just about providing a service; it's about building a community!
Objectives

To organise a community festival with an aim of it becoming an Annual Diversity Festival.

To promote and support communities to participate in Arts, Cultural and Heritage activities and to make use of this medium as a tool to promote social inclusion and community cohesion.

To promote Cultural Diversity as an integral part of Devon's identity.

To collaborate with other organisations and individuals to build and develop creative talent within the region.

April 2024 - May: Brainstorm event goals, theme, and target audience. Research potential dates and create a budget

May - June: Establish event’s vision and objectives

June - July: Develop a detailed project/event management plan

July - Aug: Select the ideal venue

Aug - Sept: Research artists & acts and determine ticket prices

Sept - Oct: Create a list of potential sponsors and funding sources

Oct - Nov: Create a marketing and promotion plan/proposal

Oct - Jan: Source & Secure funding

Jan - Feb: Obtain permits, create a safety plan, and secure deals with sponsors

Jan - Feb: Finalise booking lineup, launch website and put tickets on sale

Feb - Mar: Finalize the vendors and sponsors lists.

Mar - Apr: Solidify details like accomodation and extra activities

Apr - May: Handle smaller tasks like parking organisation and printing the event map

May - June: Fine tune the event execution plan. Confirm travel and accommodation with artists and acts

June - July: Close early-bird ticket availability
