We are committed to delivering authentic and engaging experiences through drumming workshops and performances, fostering creativity and community spirit. With a passion for inspiring joy and collaboration, we aim to create meaningful connections and empower individuals through the art of drumming.

Objectives

  • Provide a FREE community event to Paignton: Inviting locals and tourists to connect through our event concept.

  • Increase brand awareness: Familiarise our collaborative organisations to the public and what we have to offer.

  • Help People Make Connections: The main takeaway we want our audience to experience is to make connections. We want our audience to resonate with the content presented, other people in attendance and the overall concept.

  • Generate Immediate Revenue: Capitalise on footfall and earn income from event enhancements (merchandise, stalls, donations and refreshments.)

  • Services/Product Awareness: Get the word out about our Djembe drumming workshop services. 

  • Acquire New Customers: Solidify new customers and collaborations via networking.

  • Give Back: Raise money for charity (donations.)

  • Promote future collaborative events: Promote future Drum Fest events and build on revenue streams (future ticketed events.)

Our timeframe

  • Sept 26 - Jan 31: Initial event planning and negotiations for collaboration.

  • Feb 1: Promotion: Online & Offline.

  • Mar 1 - April 1: Final planning and rehearsals.

Djembe Devon and Christ Church have joined forces to create an engaging community experience through the organisation of the Djembe Devon Drum Fest Paignton event. Set in a welcoming venue sponsored by Christ Church, this collaboration brings together participants of all ages to explore the vibrant art of drumming.

BUDGET PROPOSAL INCLUDES

The budget quote of £1500 includes but is not limited to:

  • 1 Day Djembe drumming bespoke workshop event

  • 4 x 45 minute facilitated interactive workshops (3 Djembe, 1 Children's Craft)

  • Professional performer/facilitators and speakers

  • Live performance

  • Djembe drums included

  • Travel, transportation & Accommodation of facilitator

  • Pre event coordinator

  • ​Marketing and social media promotion across Djembe Devon platforms

  • All insurances

We propose that Christ Church will sponsor the following:
 

  • Venue

  • Equipment (Staging, Audio, Seating and lighting)

  • Marketing & Promotional Services

  • Workshop Facilitation Fee of £1500
